Operating Systems and Tools
kernel.org is a main repository of source code for the Linux kernel, and provides a frequent starting point for many Linux based projects undertaken by Au-Zone. The repository makes all versions of the source code available to all users. It also hosts various other projects, like Google Android.
The Yocto Project is an open source collaboration project that provides templates, tools and methods to help you create custom Linux-based systems for embedded products regardless of the hardware architecture. It was founded in 2010 as a collaboration among many hardware manufacturers, open-source operating systems vendors, and electronics companies to bring some order to the chaos of embedded Linux development.
DENX has developed a powerful Embedded Linux Development Kit (ELDK) that runs on multiple host operating systems and supports a wide range of PowerPC and ARM target processors. DENX also has started the development and is the driving force behind the PPCBoot and U-Boot Open Source projects which provides powerful, flexible and portable firmware for PowerPC systems.
Eclipse is a community for individuals and organizations who wish to collaborate on commercially-friendly open source software. Its projects are focused on building an open development platform comprised of extensible frameworks, tools and runtimes for building, deploying and managing software across the lifecycle.
